The first job: an old document in a canal house. The crew lifts the whole house to reach it, and finds a calling card instead.
Leg 01 — The first miss
Best with sound — chips, a dial and the hum of a casino floor. You can switch it off any time.

more.

Three films, printed as three issues of the same journal. Each issue takes the light of its film: tungsten Vegas, a European grand tour, and the gold-and-neon of The Bank.

Three films built on one idea: a casino can’t lose, until eleven people decide otherwise. Every issue of The Plan follows the same six beats, then breaks its own pattern.

The house keeps the books. We kept a copy.

Three casinos. One vault. Eleven people who should never have been in the same room.
Danny Ocean walks out of a New Jersey prison and, within a day, is already pitching. The job: the vault under the Bellagio, which also holds the cash of two more casinos on the Strip.
The night: a big boxing event, when the money on hand peaks. The owner of all three casinos is Terry Benedict, who is also seeing Danny’s ex-wife.
To pull it off, Danny needs a backer with a grudge, a right hand who can recruit, and nine specialists who have never worked together.

Recruited one by one, from a celebrity poker table in L.A. to a Chicago train. Line them up and the plan writes itself.

Three years later, the bill arrives. Two weeks, with interest, and America is too hot to work.

Terry Benedict has found every one of them. His terms are simple: the money back, with interest, in two weeks.
Every job in America is too hot, so the crew takes the problem to Europe, starting in Amsterdam, where Rusty has a past of his own.
A tip points them to a guarded document. When they finally reach it, someone has already been and gone.

The long con.

This time it’s personal. One of their own got cheated, so the whole house has to lose.
Reuben Tishkoff goes into business with Willy Bank to build a hotel on the Strip. Bank forces him out of his own deal, and Reuben ends up in hospital.
Danny offers Bank one chance to make it right. Bank declines and opens The Bank on schedule.
So the crew sets two goals for opening night: cost the hotel its Five Diamond Award, and make every table in the house pay out.

Willy
Bank

Opening night, one floor, six ways to lose. Each game on the floor was quietly fixed before the doors opened.
Loaded at the source: a factory in Mexico, where the crew has two men on the line.
RiggedEvery machine set to pay on the same signal. One jackpot is luck; a floor of them is a message.
RiggedThe shuffle stops being random. The house edge goes the other way for one night.
RiggedAn AI security system that reads every player on the floor. It has to be blinded at exactly the right moment.
BlindedThe drill that dug the Channel Tunnel, borrowed to fake an earthquake under the Strip.
RunningThe Five Diamond reviewer checks in incognito. His stay is arranged to go badly in every way.
Ruined
The crew’s old mark becomes its banker. Terry Benedict funds the plan on one condition: Bank’s diamonds, from the top floor of The Bank, end up with him.

Eleven specialists who should never have shared a room, and five people who wish they hadn’t met them. Filter by trade, then open a file.
Legal notice, privacy, credits, accessibility and colophon. The part nobody reads, set as if somebody will.
